1944 - Helped found the ANC youth league
1949 - Programme of action adopted
1950 - S.A State became repressive Mand charged with treason
1952 - Nalson Mandela & Tamboo opened the first black law firm in South Africa
1960 - Sharpeville massacre of 63 black South African,s changed political climat
1962 - Arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment
1990 - Released from prison
1990 / 1994 - S.A society suffered inter cultural violence between ANC and inkarta supporters
1993 - Awarded Nobel Peace Prize
1994 / 1999 - selected state president of South Africa
